If Ever We Needed Angels, Julian Davies exhibition running until April 8th

The gallery has transformed again. @julianmdavies.artist exhibition, 'If Ever We Needed Angels' has filled the space with an extraordinary body of work exploring current issues related to ourselves and our environment. I feel the work also reflects the hope and expectation that comes as we move quietly but defiantly into Spring.

The preview is tomorrow evening, Saturday 28th 5-7pm. All welcome.

An exciting delivery from @anikamanuelart, it's the first time I've seen these in the flesh, and they are just stunning.
The larger of the two, 'Do you remember', has serious Klimt vibes, with its stylised use of pattern and there's so much rich texture in the dress.
And 'Abigail', is giving such a sense of calm contemplation, it feels as if she is transporting you to where she is thinking about.

We just realised that it was exactly a year ago that we picked up the keys to The Old Bank!

I feel slightly sick looking at these old videos and photos, it ended up being way more work than we had planned for, but I'm so pleased with where we are now.

I absolutely love my job, meeting lovely people and being surrounded by creativity, it was definitely worth the effort!

Big shout out to everyone who has made us feel so welcome and of course everyone that helped along the way ❤️

With a distinctly different feel to the warmth and social vibe downstairs, our gallery space upstairs has a wonderful hushed feeling when you walk in, letting the artwork speak for itself.

At the moment we are showing 3 artists work in the space, which work exceptionally well together, @louisekiddstudio , @unknw.nartist and @thebrogueartist

We thought we'd aim high for our first year, so we'll be putting on events, make sure the artwork is new and fresh so you've always got something new to see, and of course, keep the coffee and cake flowing to accompany your painting experience with our free to use paints and pastels which are dotted around.

In terms of what's next.. we'll be sharing the up coming exhibitions starting in mid-January, and our website is very nearly ready, which is really exciting!
