Some more details from Aisleighs exhibition. We are in the process of backfilling those that have now found new homes, so please do come along to see the new work!

What people have loved far:

- Her unique and highly recognisable style
- The sinuous, organic lines that make up so much of the work.
- The colour! The warmth emanating from each piece.
- The sketchbooks! They are a perfect window into her process.

Lots still to see before the end of the month when the show ends.

Aisleigh's new work comes together in this new exhibition, ‘Held’, at The Old Bank Gallery in Fowey.

A reflection of how nurturing our surroundings can be,
“Finding solace, finding joy, finding calm. Everything I have needed, Cornwall has given”.

From an uplifting pink buoy bobbing on the water, to a strong windswept tree or a freeing open coastline, these places have a way of meeting you where you are.

Please join us on Friday evening for a first look at the new work and of course to meet Aisleigh.

We've had a wonderful reception to Saul's exhibition that closes in just one week, your last chance to see these paintings in person and take home that piece of Cornish coastal light before they're gone.

Spacious, atmospheric and full of movement, these are works that reward a slow look.

📍 The Old Bank Gallery, Fowey
Open every day, 10.30 - 5
Get in touch or drop by this week to view available pieces, including some new ones added this week.

I visited @theboxplymouth today to see the Gillian Ayres exhibition. The takeaways for me were to keep true to your vision despite distracting trends, and to drop all the pretention that can surround artwork, as she put it, "Painting is a visual thing and that's it. People like to understand and I wish they wouldn't. I wish they'd just look."

I definitely recommend going if you can, The Box is an absolute treasure on our doorstep.

Also loved looking at all the artwork on display that was submitted to the children's competition, the raw honesty when trying to express their emotions onto the page was an inspiration.

Reminder that we are currently showing the @saulcathcart exhibition, 'The Wild Edge we Love', for the rest of the month, then coming up in October we have 'Held', an exhibition from @aisleighanneartcornwall.

Lots of reasons to come to Fowey!

There's a particular light on the Cornish coast; wild, atmospheric, hard to describe but loved by us all. Saul Cathcart spends his working life chasing it. Join us for this exhibition to see the results.

Preview Friday 4th September, 5pm onwards, all welcome

I'm also delighted to add that we have some of Aisleighs new still life work, which are so fresh and delicate, a must see.
