The Old Bank Gallery is situated in the heart of Fowey. Built in 1906 it encompasses classical Victorian/Edwardian architecture and was built for the Devon and Cornwall banking company. Today it stands as a creative social hub, show casing contemporary original art works, and hosts social events alongside workshops led by highly skilled creatives.

Before venturing into The Old Bank project, I worked within a corporate environment, but I discovered an opportunity to build a home for art, coffee, and conversation. The Old Bank offers the perfect opportunity and unique space to hang bold artwork naturally appealing to locals and visitors alike.

The upper gallery is calm and still, a gentle pause above the street where the art takes quiet precedence and time seems to slow. Much of the work on display is by contemporary artists with ties to the region. While some pieces lean into Cornwall’s familiar coastal and landscape imagery. Even the original vault, being a unique exhibition space, provides a small, atmospheric chamber for installations and experimental shows. I aim to inspire, challenge, unite by conversation and to encourage debates between people over coffee. Downstairs we have a warm and vibrant coffee bar, gallery shop, and social hub where people can drop in for a drink, browse carefully chosen gifts and catch sight of something unexpected on the walls.
